Fish Sancocho
A lighter, coastal sancocho made with fresh river or sea fish, yuca, plantain, and the aromatic sofrito of the Caribbean coast.
Combine coconut, sweetener, water, salt, and optional condensed milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring, until most liquid evaporates and the mixture becomes sticky and holds together, about 15–25 minutes.
Drop spoonfuls onto parchment or greased banana leaves and flatten slightly.
Cool completely until set.
