Drain the chickpeas.
Simmer them with the pork and broth for 1½–2 hours, or pressure-cook for 35–40 minutes.
Add hogao, potatoes, carrots, cumin, and a pinch of achiote.
Simmer another 25 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the broth has thickened slightly.
Remove bones and return any meat to the stew.
Season and finish with cilantro.
